Snowmass is a beautiful, picturesque peak just a bit outside of Aspen.  This mountain, until a few years ago, maintained a permanent snowfield that made for a nice summer snow climb.  Unfortunately global warming has taken its toll and most of the snow melts away every summer now.
The east face is the most famous snowboard/ski line on Snowmass.  The west face above Geneva lake offers some nice, steeper couloir riding as well.  Approaching this mountain from either side generally involves a backpack in.
