North Maroon peak is the lower summit of the Maroon Bells massif.  It is however just as hard to climb/ride as its higher sister.  The north face of North Maroon is one of the steepest most classic snowboard/ski descents in Colorado.  The face averages 45 degrees in pitch and is broken by many cliffbands and littered with the notoriously loose Elk range rock.
This north face route is the only known viable snowboard/ski descent on this peak.
